Up & EZ! Binder
Up & EZ! is an additive that is used as a binder to increase the durability in our Original plasters. Up & EZ! will increase the workability of the plaster during your project and strengthen the end surface. It is added during the mixing process into the plaster. Up & EZ! should not be used with Forté plaster applications.
We recommend using Up & EZ! in both the base coat and finsh coat of Original plaster applications (or the single coat if using Enjarre™ plaster). Up & EZ! cannot be used on just the finish coat due to issues with bonding to the base coat.

With one of our original plasters
As stated above, Up & EZ! is not a required product, but it is recommended with our Original Plasters: Loma, Lomalina, Porcelina, Maritiimo, Enjarre.
If you use Up & EZ! it should be used in both the base and finish coats.
Our Forté line already has binder incorporated, therefore it is unnecessary to add.
During the mixing stage

Start by adding 1 gallon of water and about 1/3 of the bag of plaster to a 5 gallon bucket.

Mix well with a mixing paddle until you get a slurry.

At this point you will add all your desired additives: Up & EZ, pigment, mica, and straw. Whether you are using all the additives or one additive, the process is the same.

From there you will continue adding plaster and water until the desired consistency is reached.
