Online Store Shipping Policies and Order ETA

  • If you are having problems, please contact us at 1-866-404-1634 (toll free) and we will fill your order through our sales desk.

  • Standard processing time for orders is roughly 2 to 3 business days, not including shipping. Shipping time will vary between 2 to 6 business days, depending on location (see transit time map below).

  • Return for credit only.

  • American Clay online store policies may change without notice.

Shipping Policies

Please note: The shipping policies stated below reflect shipping only to locations in the continental United States. All shipments to international and non-continental United States are responsible for payment of the full costs of shipping.

Orders for full bags of plaster are charged a flat fee of $15.00 per bag. All other items are eligible for free shipping. A $5.00 handling fee per order will be accessed. (*standard shipping only)

  • Most orders (less than 200 lbs.) are typically shipped via UPS Ground. Please see the graphic below for an estimated shipping time frame to your location.

  • Small orders (individual color packs, Primer Sand, Up & EZ! binder, textural additives, and finished samples) may be shipped via U.S. Postal Service. USPS orders will arrive in 2 to 3 days depending on location.

  • Orders greater than 200 lbs. are typically shipped via freight. The company which ships the product changes from order to order as shipping ETA's and coverage can vary greatly depending on location, time frame and weight. The estimated shipping time frame graphic below is meant for small package deliveries, although, the transit times are generally similar for freight shipments.​​

Expedited Shipping

For orders that require faster shipping times, American Clay offers the following options for small packages:

  • UPS 3rd Day Select (guaranteed 3 day delivery time)

  • UPS 2nd Day Air* (guaranteed 2 day delivery time)

  • UPS Next Day Air* (guaranteed next day delivery time)

  • *Note: Both UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day Air may have options to be either "a.m." or "end of day" delivery, depending on location.​​

Costs for expedited shipping are not known until products are packaged and ready to ship from our facility. The customer is responsible for paying the difference between the standard shipping rate and the expedited shipping rate.

 

 Expedited shipping on full bags of plaster is not available.

Rush processing may also be available for orders that are needed faster than the processing times stated above. Small packages (less than 250 lbs.) may be assessed a rush processing fee of $50.00. Larger orders shipped via freight will be assessed a rush processing fee of $200.00.
 
If you wish to upgrade your shipping method or add rush processing to your order, please call American Clay directly to ensure your order is shipped correctly.

Color Disclaimer

Colors on mobile devices and computer monitors are not 100% accurate. Please see our Samples page to purchase a sample of your desired color. We are using natural pigments and materials that can vary in strength and hue from batch to batch. Although color variations are closely monitored it is a good idea to buy all pigment and plaster for a project from the same lot. If that is not possible, be sure to batch your plaster and pigment materials together to decrease these variations. With this in mind, we encourage you or your applicator to make sample boards or on-site sample walls in order for to you to approve final finish and color.
