Become An American Clay Artisan
If you are interested in being listed as an Artisan / Applicator on our website, please see below for the three ways to qualify:
1. 2- or 3-Day Training + 1,000 Square Feet:
Successfully complete American Clay's 2- or 3-day Advanced Applicator Training and have applied 1,000 square feet of American Clay plaster to walls and / or ceilings with client references for the work performed.
2. 1-Day Training + 10,000 Square Feet:
Complete a 1-day Basic Application Training and have applied 10,000 square feet of American Clay plaster to walls and / or ceilings with client
references for the work performed. Also, submit a recommendation from an American Clay approved Artisan.
3. Submit Samples + 3,000 Square Feet:
Submit five to eight two foot by two foot samples to American Clay in the following finishes:
Loma™ — sponged finish (required)
Lomalina™ — smooth, troweled finish (required)
Porcelina™ — smooth, burnished finish (required)
Marittimo™ — compressed smooth trowel, burnished to reveal shell patina (required)
Enjarre™ — matte finish (required)
Any finish — lime washed, lime gauged, Forté Base, Forté Finish, Forté White, or artistic representation.
Also, have applied 3,000 square feet of walls and / or ceilings with client references for the work performed.

If you have already become an American Clay Artisan, but would like to add distinctions to your account (such as Artistic Specialist, Repair Specialist, Spray Specialist, or Volume and Large Applications Specialist), please download and return the application form below. These distinctions are intended to differentiate between Artisans and to acknowledge Artisans that continue to expand their knowledge and experience through additional courses from American Clay and practiced application in the field. These distinctions will show up as an icon next to your listing on our website.
